CanalAbility
CanalAbility (formerly Lock View Canal Boat Holidays) is an established charity dedicated to providing affordable holidays for disabled people, families, community and youth groups.
Each fully accessible, broad beam boat represents 23 years of experience and can sleep up to 12 mixed ability persons..
We encourage everyon
e to take an active part in the operation of the boat and each boat is specifically 'fitted out' for this purpose.
Full training and familiarisation is provided on both the steerage of the boat and use of the locks.
With full central heating, the boats are available for use throughout the year for either a short break or a longer holiday.
Our mooring on the River Stort at Harlow on the Essex/Herts border is easily accessible with good road and rail links, being only 35 miles from central London and close to Stansted Airport.

The River Stort and Lee Navigations are often referred to as the 'forgotten waterways' of London. There are many places of interest and entertainment, to be taken at what ever pace you choose.
Near at hand are the tranquil towns of Bishop's Stortford, Hertford & Ware, all steeped in history. For the more adventurous there are the attractions of central London some three days sailing, where the Limehouse basin and the Regents Canal with the London Zoo are all easily accessible.

For many this is simply a 'life changing' experience enjoyed on the tranquil waterways of Essex, Hertfordshire and London.
